OnToday does not sell data and does not use ad tracking. This page explains which data we process and why.
Controller
OnToday is responsible for data processing on ontoday.ch. For privacy questions, contact us at hello@ontoday.ch.
Server logs
When you visit the site, our servers process technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages requested. These logs are used for secure operation and troubleshooting and are deleted after a short time.
Account
For an account we store your email address and an encrypted password. An account is optional and only needed for personal features like the saved list. You can request deletion at any time by email.
Cookies and local storage
We use a login cookie for authentication and an optional cookie for your interests (home page personalization).
Saved events, map settings and your last used location are stored only in your browser and are not sent to us.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser at any time; signing in will then no longer work.
Location
The "Nearby" feature requests your location through the browser, only with your explicit consent. The location is stored locally and used only for radius search.
Statistics
We use Umami, a privacy-friendly web analytics tool without cookies, self-hosted on our own server (stat.ontoday.ch). It counts anonymized page views and does not create user profiles. The data stays with us and is not shared with third parties.
Maps (OpenStreetMap)
The map view loads map tiles from OpenStreetMap. Your IP address is transmitted to the servers of the OpenStreetMap Foundation. The map is only loaded when you open a page with a map.
Your rights
Under the Swiss Data Protection Act (FADP) you have the right to access, correct and delete your data. Contact us at hello@ontoday.ch.
Changes
We may update this policy when the website or legal requirements change. The version published here applies.
