Photography workshop at Grimsel Pass and Oberaar region. Focus on autumn colours, alpine landscapes, glacial lakes, and granite peaks.
Learn fundamentals of landscape composition, visual storytelling, mountain light, working with foregrounds and reflections, and advanced techniques like focus stacking and perspective blending. Planning landscape photography using weather and light forecasting tools, and optimising camera settings (aperture, shutter speed, ISO, exposure compensation) and filter use (polarising, ND) will also be covered.
Participants receive personal guidance from an internationally awarded landscape photographer.
12:00 PM – Welcome and Participant Introductions 12:15 PM – 1:00 PM – Photography Briefing: Camera settings, composition, colour theory, weather and light planning, workshop itinerary 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM – Exploring the Grimsel Pass: Photographing alpine lakes, granite formations, mountain peaks, glacial landscapes, streams, and panoramas. Individual guidance provided. 5:00 PM – 7:15 PM – Sunset Photography near Oberaar Lake: Creating panoramic images and compositions with reflections in the lake. 7:30 PM – End of Workshop
Meeting point: Grimsel Pass (exact location provided upon registration). Please arrive around 12:00 PM.
Not included: Food, drinks, travel expenses.
Travel by car is recommended for flexibility. Participants without a car may return with the workshop leader to the nearest train station, subject to availability.
